Become a Volunteer

Volunteering is what we are all about - we are all volunteers!  Without volunteers support and generosity with their time, ICAN would not be able to run.  You can donate time in many ways, whether it's helping with a fundraiser, taking photos of the animals, helping to socialize animals or simply letting peopel know we are out there to help!  The possibilities are endless and even 1-2 hours per week is very much appreciated! 

When you volunteer you are making a huge difference in the lives of needy animals.  You also gain valuable work experience, have a sense of community involvement and get to meet new people with similar interests!

ICAN welcomes children 8-16 years old to volunteer with parental consent.

Foster

Since ICAN doesn't have a shelter for dogs or special needs cats, we rely on a network of volunteer foster parents to care for them until they find a forever home. Foster parents have the opportunity to get to know each animal and help match it with a permanent home, as well as enjoy a furry friend on a daily basis.  It's a great option whether you just aren't sure you can commit to a pet of your own, or if you are fostering in addition to other pets in the household. 

And we will supply all of the essentials, so there is no cost to you!
