Volunteering is what we are all about - we are all volunteers!  Without volunteers support and generosity with their time, ICAN would not be able to succeed.  You can donate time in many ways!

Selling Raffle Tickets
Helping at Garage sales
Holding Bake Sales
Maintaining Bulletin Boards
Socializing/Walking cats
Helping at BBQ events
Fundraising for our Capital Campaign

The possibilities are endless and even 1-2 hours per week is very much appreciated!

When you volunteer you are making a huge difference in the lives of needy animals.  You also gain valuable work experience, have a sense of community involvement and get to meet new people with similar interests!  ICAN welcomes children 8-16 years old to volunteer with parental consent.

Foster for ICAN
 

Foster parents have the opportunity to get to know each animal and help match it with a permanent home, as well as enjoy a furry friend on a daily basis.

It's a great option whether you just aren't sure you can commit to a pet of your own, or if you are fostering in addition to other pets in the household.

Ideally all of the animals would be in foster homes and not in a shelter environment.
 
Can you help?  Do you have room in your home and in your heart?
 
And we will supply all of the essentials, so there is no cost to you!

Below are our current volunteering opportunities!  We would love to have you on board!

 

• Handiman/woman (ongoing, time commitment will vary)

• Article writers for animal behaviour, health and wellness issues of newsletter (2 hour/month

• Help finding barns to house altered feral cats

• Experienced kitten coordinator (peak season 5 hours/month)

• Photographer with website skills (1 hour/week)

• Lawn and yard care (1 hour/week)

• Treasurer with non-profit experience (8 hours/week)

• Director to join our Board of Directors (8 hours/week

• Cleaning duties and cat socialization (2 hours/week)

• Deep cleaning/disinfecting (1 hour/week)

• Foster Homes (time commitment will vary)

• Researcher (different topics, 3 hours/month)

• Fundraising coordinator (4 hours/month)

• Painter/Mural Artist (time commitment will vary)

• Someone who could finish painting a dollhouse that was donated to us for a fundraiser

• Designer for posters and educational materials
